CHINA, Qing dynasty, 18th - 19th century Rock of a scholar carved with characters in the garden on the front and deer on the back. Ducks make the transition between the two sides while lingzhi mushrooms bloom at the top. Celadon jade with rusty veins. 30% OF IMMEDIATE PAYMENT UPON PURCHASE Height: 9,4 cm - Length: 11,5 cm. (Rare cracks.) Provenance: Brought back by Captain Joachim Léonce Bassery of the 10th regiment of the line infantry after the Palikao campaign in 1860, then kept by descent.
