Dial called "petite-tapisserie", three chronos, the one at 3 o'clock indicates the chronograph minutes, at 6 o'clock the permanent seconds, at 9 o'clock the chronograph hours. Date window at 4:30. Original tropical chocolate dial without patina. Octagonal steel case, octagonal bezel fixed by 8 hexagonal screws in white gold. Push buttons and screwed back. Mechanical movement with automatic winding. Steel bracelet signed, folding clasp. Sold with all links (half link), box, over-box and original paper as well as the purchase invoice. Diameter: 39 mm. Length: 20 cm. The history of the name Royal Oak begins in the seventeenth century when Charles II took refuge in a tree, a "Royal Oak" after his defeat against Cromwell. The name Royal Oak was used as a good luck charm to designate the ships of the Royal Navy at the beginning of the 20th century, such as the HMS Royal Oak. It was from the hull of the cuirassier that Gérald Genta, a true precursor of modern watchmaking design, drew his inspiration to create the bracelet so characteristic of this watch.
