Lampe Mamelouk, travail français XIXe, attribuable à Phillippe-Joseph BROCARD (1831-1896).

Mameluke lamp of mosque pale pink enamelled and gilded blown glass, on pedestal, the low body rising to a high flared neck, three blue glass handles, decorated with Arabic pseudo-calligraphy and medallions in the Mamlouk style, perhaps by Joseph-Philippe Brocard who also uses this blazon with a saddled horse on some of his pieces (see notably the mosque lamp by Brocard dated 1867 in the British Museum, inv.1902,1118.1 or the lamp by Brocard in the Musée national Adrien Dubouché in Limoges).
