JAPAN, Arita kilns - EDO period (1603 - 1868), END OF 16th/ BEGINNING OF 17th CENTURY Pair of large porcelain horn vases decorated in blue underglaze, iron red and Imari gold enamel in reserves of peonies and chrysanthemums in poly-lobed reserves on a dark blue background and decorated in gold enamel with geometrical motifs. Gilt bronze base in the Louis XVI style. (Pierced bottom, small cracks) Height. 67 cm with the frame.
