Byôbu screen (room divider) with six medium-sized panels with a painting representing a large crane (tsuru) flying over the sea. On the left a narrow island with several pine trees. The whole scene is lit by an orange sunset. The screen is signed, sealed and dated in the lower left corner by the artist Kunii Oyo (1868-1923). Dating of the work at the beginning of the winter of the year of the "Earth Sheep", in this case 1919. The panels are surrounded by two silk borders, one thin in white brocade and one wide in blue brocade. The screen is protected by a black lacquered wooden frame. Some slight traces of age, wear and old restorations. Size: Total width: 333.0 cm (2 x 57.1 cm and 4 x 54.7 cm); Height: 152.1 cm. Period : Japan - Taisho period (1912-1926).
