Triangle in triangle 1995 Sculpture in blue-grey glass signed Unique piece H. 91 cm L. 129 cm P. 25 cm Provenance: > Private collection, Lot-et-Garonne This work is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from the Galerie Internationale du Verre, Serge Lechaczynski, at the glassworks in Biot Libenský and Brychtová, a couple of Czech sculptors, are among the great masters of contemporary glass. They made a name for themselves at the 1958 World Fair in Brussels with their architectural and monumental use of glass. The couple achieved the feat of exhibiting abroad before the fall of the Wall, but they also concentrated on teaching in their home country, which they have never left, making it a point of honor to revive the centuries-old Bohemian glass culture. Our sculpture is characteristic of their work: monumental, its geometry plays with the light and its brutal cuts, similar to geological faults, evoke in us the remains of a distant world. Their works are kept in the greatest museums in the world: The Metropolitan of New York, the National Museum of Prague, the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, the MAD Paris...
