They made a name for themselves at the 1958 World Fair in Brussels with their architectural and monumental use of glass. The couple achieved the feat of exhibiting abroad before the fall of the Wall, but they also concentrated on teaching in their home country, which they have never left, making it a point of honor to revive the centuries-old Bohemian glass culture. Our sculpture is characteristic of their work: monumental, its geometry plays with the light and its brutal cuts, similar to geological faults, evoke in us the remains of a distant world.
