Second edition of the Latin poems of Jacques-Auguste de Thou, paraphrases of four books of the Bible (Job, Ecclesiastes, the Lamentations of Jeremiah, the prophecies of Joel, Amos, Abdias, Jonah). The first and third parts are dedicated to Cardinal Charles de Bourbon, the second to Henri de Bourbon prince of Dombes. The first edition had been published at the same bookseller in 1590. This collection is divided into four parts having each one a clean title page: Jobus, sive de constantia, Ecclesiastes, sive Salomonis F. Davidis de sumno hominis bono concio, Threni Jeremiae F. Elciae, Vaticinia Joelis Amosi, Abdiae, Ioane, Habacuci. Nice edition from Tours executed by Jamet Mettayer, one of the Parisian printers who took refuge in Tours during the League.
