Kerr, The Haie 1878', 48 cm wide, 14.5 cm high, 27.5 cm deep The box contains a handwritten letter dated October 12th 1938, 'Four Fans/ For Jane Kerr on her 18th birthday. The fans belonged to Jane Kerr who died in 1855. That Jane Kerr was first cousin to William Kerr M.D. who bought the Haie in 1857.'

Important Sicilian 18th Century Chest of Drawers in Sorrento Fruitwood Marquetry, Naples or Sicily, Italian royal workshops from the late 18th century - Naples, Italy, circa 1800. Marquetry of various woods and embedded marble board. 87x129x62cm. Two full-length drawers on high stiletto legs decorated with borders that frame military trophies around the keyhole shield. The brass handles in the shape of a lion's head with a ring in the mouth. It stands out for its composition with only two drawers, which is repeated in examples from the Neapolitan area as well as the marquetry with trophies. This wonderful pairing includes 1 antique Victorian young girls coat featuring a thick ribbed cotton canvas with a wide fold over square collar a wide lace band insert with cutout work in a fan motif and a matching ruffled edge. As well as a high waistline, and a lace insert band along the lower portion of the coat, and a mix of hook and eye and button front closures. Measurements laying flat: shoulders 9'', chest 12.5'', sleeves 9 3/4'', collar 6'' wide, length 21''. It is in fair condition with 1 missing button, slight yellowing, spots and discoloration on the neck and collar, several split seams, spots, and rust spots from the hook and front closures. 1 antique young girls sleeveless nightgown/shift featuring a white ribbed cotton base that is heavily embellished with cotton inserts with embroidery and cut out work in a grape motif. As well as French pleats starting at the square neckline, linen covered buttons, several different widths and styles of embroidered/cut work cotton lace trims, and a wide bottom ruffle made of fine thin cotton with both embroidery and cut out lattice work in a repeating floral pattern as well as a scalloped edge.. Vegetal decoration based on flowers, leaves and palmettes. It presents a restoration of antique consisting of a seam of union. Bone tone. Good preservation. Measures: 135 x 7 cm. Pañuelo de ecaje atiguo de Almagro (Ciudad Real, España) siglo XIX - Antique circular lace handkerchief from Almagro (Ciudad Real, Spain) 19th century. Eleven equal lobes surround the central gauze of the handkerchief. Each of these lobes has a typical Almagro decoration, made at least since the beginning of the 17th century: consisting of a figure like a sun or star inscribed in a circumference, in turn surrounded by eight lobes like floral petals. The main pattern of sixteen arms forming the sun or star mentioned above (alternating thick and thin arms) is a decoration that is still used today in lace made in Almagro (see our last photograph, corresponding to a modern lace preserved in the Almagro Lace Museum). Slight old stain on the central gauze that does not affect the lace. Good preservation.

Echarpe antiguo de Malinas (Bélgica) siglo XVII - A piece of antique lace from Mechelen (Belgium) from the 17th century transformed into a shawl during the 19th century. High quality lace for clothing. Decorated with forms reminiscent of plant stems joined together. During the 19th century a small strip of lace was added around it, tightened to the large piece by means of a cord of the same period as the addition. Good preservation. Some small spot of old oxidation. Measurements: 72 x 80 cm.

Decoration of small flowers and vegetal stems applied on the tulle spread all over the piece. It presents a minimal lack on the tulle, easy to restore. Good conservation. Measures: 112 x 9,5 cm.
